How to Explore Newark Parks with ParkServe

  1. Find Your Park
    Use the search bar or zoom in to locate a park in your Newark neighborhood.

  2. Learn About Each Park
    By clicking on a park, you’ll see:

    • Who manages the park

    • The park’s size (in acres)

    • How many people live within a 10-minute walk

    • The percentage of tree canopy coverage

  3. Explore Data Layers
    Overlay demographic information and other data by selecting categories of interest.

  4. Use the Prioritize Tool
    Customize priority areas for park investment by adjusting weights on key variables.

  5. Use the Evaluate Tool
    Draw potential new parks or trails on the map to see how they would expand access in Newark.
